Meet the team

Barbara Alison - Hospital Manager

Barbara Alison is the Hospital Manager for Cygnet Hospital Godden Green, joining the team in March 2010.

Barbara has worked in the NHS for over 21 years and has extensive clinical and management experience within medium secure, acute psychiatry, court diversion schemes and community mental health teams.

Barbara is keen to promote partnership working between the NHS, Independent Sector and voluntary organizations.

 

Tom Foulds - Chartwell Ward Manager

Tom Foulds is the Ward Manager on Chartwell Ward at Cygnet Hospital Godden Green. Tom has 32 years experience in the health profession having started in general nursing in the 1970's before moving into mental health in the late 1990's.

Tom strongly believes in continuing professional development and has an honours degree in psychosocial interventions. He is also a sign off mentor which ensures local universities such as Canterbury and Greenwich send student nurses to Godden Green.

 

Pia Atle - Young Person's Unit Ward Manager

Pia Atle is the Ward Manager on the Young Person's Unit at Cygnet Hospital Godden Green. She qualified as an RMN in 1993 and worked in an Adult Acute Unit in Sweden until 2005.

Pia joined Cygnet Hospital Godden Green in 2006 and has been the Ward Manager on the Young Person's Unit for the past two years.

Pia is dedicated to providing a high quality service to young people and their families.

 

Kirsty Senior - Mental Health Act Administrator

Kirsty joined the Hospital eight years ago as a Health Care Assistant and spent several years working on different wards. For the past 3 years, Kirsty has been our Mental Health Act Administrator.

Kirsty's role is to ensure that any patients detained under the Mental Health Act are detained justifiably, legally and are given the best care possible including being aware of their rights whilst they are detained.

 

Hayley Mason - Enquiries & Admissions Coordinator

Since joining Cygnet Hospital Godden Green in 2007, Hayley has been responsible for taking enquiries regarding our services (via telephone, email etc) and coordinating the admission process.

This includes meeting all our new service users on arrival with a Welcome Pack and going through the administrative side of the admission procedure.

 

Urszula Saganowska - Personnel Coordinator

Urszula joined Cygnet Hospital Godden Green in 2010 as a Personnel Coordinator. Urszula obtained a CIPD qualification in 2008. She is responsible for coordinating recruitment as well as personnel administration within the Hospital.

Urszula also has responsibility for co-ordinating the mandatory and statutory training for clinical and non-clinical staff at the Hospital. She is dedicated to providing high quality assistance to all employees.
