Outpatient support may be appropriate when less intensive care is required, for example, instead of or following on from Day or Inpatient care. Support may come in the form of regular appointments with one of our Consultant Psychiatrists and/or Addictions therapists.
We can offer a FREE initial assessment with one of our therapy team in order to discuss your needs and how we may be able to help. An informal discussion over the phone can be followed by a more thorough assessment in person which may result in a referral to Out, Day or Inpatient care.
To book an initial consultation please contact us on 01732 763 491 or by emailing us at 121help@cygnethealth.co.uk.
We aim to see our new service users within 72hrs of the initial contact. We offer early morning, evening and some weekend appointments. You can either be seen at the hospital or at an outpatient clinic nearer to your home, if more convenient.
At the first consultation, we will conduct a thorough assessment, which will include taking a history of your problems and any relevant medical history. We will then discuss your treatment options and advise you on the most appropriate course of treatment dependant on your circumstances, problems and needs.
Our In-house and Visiting therapists have a wealth of experience in all areas of addictions and we can easily arrange for you to meet with someone who is suitable for your needs.
In some cases it may be possible to be seen directly by one of our therapists, for example if you are self-funding or have insurance provided by BUPA or AVIVA.
These 50-minute sessions usually take place once per week over a period of time (approx. 6-8 weeks initially) and the exact number and frequency of sessions can be discussed with your therapist and reviewed regularly to ensure you are receiving the most appropriate help.
